SERVICES
We are proud to offer the following services to our Community. NDIS funding can be used for all services. Quotes and Service Agreements are available upon request.
1:1 PHYSICAL TRAINING/EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY
1:1 Training with an Exercise Physiologist or Physical Trainer to help Bolters develop their physical, social and cognitive skills. Sessions are designed to be fun and engaging while also focussing on personal and NDIS Goals. Our purpose built centres are designed as half arcades/half gyms to promote engagement and the development of a healthy relationship with exercise. Sport specific 1:1 sessions are delivered at Aspley Special School.
Offered at Chermside West, Clontarf, Caboolture & Aspley Special School Centres
GROUP SPORT PROGRAMS
Our Sport Program brings together groups of 12 Bolters with their coaches to learn the foundations of sport and showcase the skills they have developed in their 1:1 sessions.
Sessions are designed to support Bolters to learn the foundational skills required to participate in their chosen sport. These skills are taught in a group setting with 1:1 support given as needed. Bolters also complete exercises that develop their strength, coordination, gross motor skills, balance, proprioception and core stability. Sessions are planned and overseen by exercise physiologists and are delivered by our expert sports coaches.
Holt Sport runs at our Holt Bolt Aspley Special School. Sessions are 45 minutes in duration
Offered at Aspley Special School on Saturdays
BELLS PROGRAM
BELLS stands for Build, Explore, Learn, Lead, Succeed. This program is designed to allow Bolters to take the skills developed in their 1:1 sessions (Support Work/Physical Training) and apply them in a group setting. Sessions focus heavily on job ready skills, social skills and creating positive relationships with peers and the community.
Each session focusses on Building, Exploring, Learning and Leading and facilitated by our team of experienced mentors and senior leaders. Groups are created based on Bolter's passions and experiences. We run both Junior and Senior BELLS groups. Our Senior BELLS program is the final progression point for Bolters before they commence employment within The Holt Bolt Subsidiary Business Network.
Based at Dayboro or Chermside West Locations
HYDROTHERAPY
Our 1:1 hydrotherapy sessions take the fun of our centre based Exercise Physiology/Physical Training into a water-based environment.
The aquatic environment provides another dimension to our sessions with many benefits including improvements in strength, endurance, core stability and the development of motor skills.
The properties of the water provide an optimal environment for muscle relaxation, maintenance or improvement of joint range of motion. It also promotes the enhancement of positive behaviours impacting the mental health and well-being of our Bolters.
Hydrotherapy is offered at the Emily Seebohm Aquatic Centre, Bracken Ridge

ABOUT
The Holt Bolt was founded in 2013 by Richard Holt. The entire purpose of the Company and the Movement it represents is to create opportunities for people of all abilities and ages to achieve their goals.
Our mission is simple; to identify the talents of the people we work with and create pathways and opportunities for them to share their talents and passions with their community. There are several ways that we do this; primarily through our 1:1 Physical Training/Exercise Physiology sessions, 1:1 Support work and group based programs such as sport and BELLS.
We started with a dream of creating opportunities for Bolters to gain employment and have a meaningful life post school. We have achieved that dream and continue to create pathways for our Bolters into Jobs post school. We see our role in our Bolter’s lives as Talent Identification - finding/discovering our Bolter’s talents, amplifying them and helping them develop their areas of opportunity. We carry out our talent identification process in two main ways - through our centres and our active support program.
In our Centres, our expert team of Exercise Physiologists, Personal Trainers and Exercise Scientists work collaboratively to ensure Bolter’s are developing the physical, emotional and cognitive skills to achieve their personal and NDIS goals. Our sessions are designed to be fun and engaging, while still actively working on Bolter’s goals. Our dream for each Bolter is to follow The Holt Bolt Progression Pathway towards engaging in a group based community activity such as our sports program or mainstream community sport or our BELLS (Build, Explore, Learn, Lead , Succeed) programs.
In the Active Support side of the business, our support workers take on the role of mentor to our Bolters to help them develop the physical, job ready and daily living skills they need to increase their independence, engage in their community and find and keep a job. Our dream for each Bolter in the Active Support side of the business is to find their passion and purpose and turn that into a job. Our BELLS program is designed to help Bolter’s Build, Explore, Learn, Lead and Succeed in a group setting. These groups focus heavily on job ready skills and making a positive impact in the community through random acts of kindness. Our commitment is to provide an employment opportunity for every Bolter within our Holt Bolt subsidiary business network.
Welcome to The Holt Bolt Movement - it's a privilege to have you with us.
OUR CENTRES
Our centres are carefully designed to help our Bolters achieve their personal and NDIS goals. We have designed them to be half arcade/half gym/life skills space.
