EMPLOYMENT SUPPORTS

At The Holt Bolt, we help young people build the skills and confidence they need to find and keep a job they enjoy. Our Employment Supports program focuses on three main steps:

1. Discovery
We spend time getting to know each individual - their interests, strengths, and goals. Together, we explore vocational themes (like working with people, animals, outdoors, food, technology, or tools) to see what types of jobs might suit them best.

2. Building Skills
Before stepping into the workplace, we practice important skills like teamwork, communication, money handling, time management, and problem-solving. These are taught in fun, practical ways so that young people feel ready and confident.

3. Real Work Experience
Hands-on experience is key! We support young people to take part in work placements where they can try different jobs, explore their vocational interests, and build real-world skills. For some, this may lead to customised job opportunities, while others may create their own small business (micro-enterprise).

The Result
By moving through these steps they are better prepared for the future, with the confidence and experience to find meaningful work that matches their strengths and interests.
